Oh, joy. I’m in Facebook Jail yet again. And as before it’s for the most ridiculous of reasons. Once again the meddlesome juvenile delinquents FB employs as moderators have taken offense at something that could not possibly be offensive. Please allow me to set the stage here: I have a good friend in Central Texas. We’ll just call her “Ann.” I’ve known her and her brother since the early 70s. So it’s Sunday. And I was having a nice lazy morning. No work to do, no schedule except for dinner with a friend this evening. I opened a few news outlets and saw little else but bad news. Death, destruction, deceit, extreme politics, etc. Too early in the morning for all that crap. 
Everyone who uses Facebook gets ticked off at them every now and again. Too many rules, too much political correctness, heaps and tons of unvetted advertisers, etc etc. A few months back I decided it was time to make a change and started shopping around for another platform. Some years ago I truly enjoyed Facebook but they’ve gotten too big for their britches. And then the other day I evidently broke one of their precious rules and got banned for 24 hours, plus a few other arbitrary “punishments” to keep me in my place. 
A couple of months ago I grew frustrated with all the “sponsored posts” (ads) on Facebook. I understand they have to have revenue to operate. But it had reached a point where about every fourth post was an ad (this being with the app on my phone). And so I set out to see if there was anything I could do about it.
