Here we go again. Yet another public school teacher who thinks her religion gives her license to break the law. It’s stuff like this that sits at the heart of my belief that young children must be protected from religion until they’re old enough to think critically on their own. Think Before You Speak
Facebook is rapidly becoming a repository for dimestore philosophy, uninformed political opinions (both left and right) and truly frightening religious zealotry. It’s everywhere. And it’s worsening daily. But the more worrisome part of this is the fact that the people posting this mess aren’t just on Facebook. They’re out there in the world. They believe their own bullshit. They breed. They vote. They influence others.

Is it just me, or do the lives of children not mean as much as they used to? Kids, born and unborn, are dropping like flies for a variety of horrifying reasons. You can’t view any major news outlet without seeing crimes committed against children, sometimes by other children.

Lost In Translation
I have come to the conclusion that humanity’s biggest enemy isn’t some evil dictator or malevolent spirit. It’s our own ignorance. People have a maddening tendency to embrace their lack of basic knowledge on a given subject as if it were a badge of honor. They hide behind their erroneous presuppositions and then scoff at any bit of knowledge that disagrees with their misguided beliefs.
