OK, let me first say that I am NOT here to disrespect the First Lady. After a rocky start she has done all anyone has the right to expect of her to gain our respect. But I would like to have a frank discussion about who she is and how she got to where she is today. Not to question whether she should be First Lady, but about who she was before and the metamorphosis she has undergone.

I’ve been seeing a lot of memes on Facebook and elsewhere touting what a wonderful and classy woman she is. And I won’t dispute that. It isn’t like I know her personally. After a rough start, she appears to have gone full-on into her role as First Lady of the United States. I respect her for that especially given where she was before. But is she really that classy First Lady? Or she is merely playing a role?

Let’s face it: Melania was a nude model and did some weird poses over time. Not porno-type stuff, but a lot of what she did was definitely on the weird side. She was enjoying some success and had managed to gain some endorsements and a line of beauty products. She also did a hilarious commercial for AFLAC. Donald Trump was at a party to meet a different model. But the model happened to be sitting beside a young woman named Melania Knause and Trump flipped over her. In 2005 Trump told Larry King:

I went crazy. I was actually supposed to meet somebody else. There was this great supermodel sitting next to Melania. I was supposed to meet this supermodel. They said, ‘look, there’s so and so.’ I said, ‘forget about her. Who is the one on the left?’ And it was Melania.

The first time Trump ran for President, Melania dumped him. I don’t know all the details. They got back together after he dropped out of the race, but she stated that she’d support him if he ran again. Perhaps the breakup was unrelated to his political ambitions. By the time Trump announced his 2016 campaign they had a 10 year-old son, Barron. Did this have anything to do with her staying at Trump’s side? No clue.

Early in Trump’s presidency it was obvious they weren’t getting along. Whether this was due to his becoming President or some other reason, we’ll likely never know. He was terribly rude to her on at least a couple of occasions, and she was obviously withdrawn from him. And it’s well-known that he cheated on her a few times. In public at least, it appears the couple has smoothed things over. For their sake and their son Barron’s sake, I hope appearances represent reality. Whatever their relationship has become since they met, it appears they’re making it work.

As to how it all started, I see two possibilities here:

• Donald was looking for another trophy wife and Melania saw a potential sugar daddy
• They met at the aforementioned party, fell in love, and all is healthy and wholesome

I’m guessing it started as the former, but has morphed into something better over the years.

The media for the most part has been cruel to Melania. The screeching shrews (liberal females in the media) constantly badmouth her for the damnedest reasons. Her hair, her shoes, her clothing, etc. I have yet to see any of these babbling malcontents come up with anything of substance against our First Lady. But then again, it’s rare for any far-left dumbass to deal with issues of substance. They’re suffering from Trump Derangement Syndrome, and I am tempted to say I hope it’s terminal. Mind you, I didn’t say that. I merely said I’m tempted to say it. There’s a difference.

Unless something changes drastically I’ll again support Trump for President. Last time I was just scared to death of Hillary getting the job. Given how emboldened the commies became under Obama, Hillary quite possibly could have destroyed our economy and possibly our dignity as a nation. Trump is far from perfect, but I’ll again support him and his absolute knockout of a wife.
