And The Hypocrisy Continues…

As I have said for years, if you want to know what the Democrats are doing just look at what they’re accusing the Republicans of doing. Nine times out of ten, that’ll be it. Never has this been more obvious than with the Brett Kavanaugh fiasco and the 2018 midterm elections. The Democrats waged a shameless smear campaign against Kavanaugh to keep him off the SCOTUS. They failed, and subsequently promised that if they won a majority in Congress they’d launch investigations into his past. All of the claims against him have fallen apart. A few have even been referred to the Justice Dept. due to the potentially criminal nature of those false claims.

But wait. Four Democrats with sexual and/or domestic abuse allegations in their past just won elections. This, after all of the #MeToo stuff from the Left about believing the victims and protecting women. Now pardon me for sounding cynical, but doesn’t this hint at a double standard at work?
Let’s consider…

KeithEllisonKeith Ellison (D-MN) Ellison is the deputy chair of the DNC and has been elected MN Attorney General. Ellison’s ex-girlfriend, Karen Monahan alleged that he once dragged her off a bed while shouting profanities and sent multiple abusive text messages. She also published a 2017 medical document that identified Ellison as the abuser who caused “emotional and physical abuse.”

BobbyScottBobby Scott (D-VA) He’s accused by a former Congressional Black Caucus Foundation fellow. M. Reese Everson, who claimed that Scott sexually harassed her in 2013, and that she was fired and blacklisted from further work on Capitol Hill after she refused his advances.
TonyCardenasTony Cárdenas (D-CA) Cárdenas won the 29th Congressional District with almost 80 percent of the vote. This, in spite of being the subject of a lawsuit claiming he drugged and sexually assaulted a 16-year-old in 2007
BobMenendezBob Menendez (D-NJ) Faced allegations that he had made multiple trips to the Dominican Republic to have sex with underage prostitutes. This first surfaced in 2012. But he was easily re-elected. Personally, I believe the sexual allegations against him are false.

But then they all win elections right on the heels of a wave of allegations against Kavanaugh, demanding that he not be allowed on the Supreme Court. Leftist voters didn’t care. They just wanted their party to win, and they wanted Kavanaugh to go down in flames. They wanted it badly enough to fabricate claims against Kavanaugh in an attempt to not only stop his confirmation but to wreck his life.

For the purposes of this discussion,  it doesn’t matter if any of the allegations against Kavanaugh or the Democrats are true. What matters here is that the allegations exist, but the allegations against the Democrats were treated quite differently from those against Kavanaugh. This is nothing but partisan politics. The Democrats don’t give a rat’s ass about women’s rights. All they care about is returning to power. And they have proven conclusively that they will stoop to any level to get there. They’ll do anything, say anything as long as it benefits them politically.

One thing all Americans are supposedly guaranteed is Equal Protection Under The Law. The 5th and 14th Amendments make it plain that justice must be blind no matter one’s beliefs. But the Democrats shamelessly disregarded the Constitution during the last few months (Well, ok. Decades). If all this was truly about women’s rights, then where was the outrage on the left about the Democrats’ alleged victims? Why did the Democrats get due process while they attempted to deny Kavanaugh the same? Like I said above: Politics.

And now we’re stuck with these low-lifes running the House of Representatives for the next two years. That means it gets even harder for the Trump Administration to get anything done. It’s a good bet that the House will launch multiple bogus “investigations” into Trump, Kavanaugh and anyone else they believe they can hurt. Very little real work will get done during this period of Democrat obstructionism, and all the while Pelosi and Company will blame the Republicans for it. Even sadder, a complicit media will support them, and gullible Democrat voters will lap up every word of it.
