Is it just me, or do the lives of children not mean as much as they used to? Kids, born and unborn, are dropping like flies for a variety of horrifying reasons. You can’t view any major news outlet without seeing crimes committed against children, sometimes by other children.

On June 8th, 2018 Carly Ann Harris of Wales drowned her four year-old daughter Amelia, then burned her body in her back yard. Harris claims she did it on God’s orders to “save all Mankind.” She has been declared not guilty by way of insanity and will likely spend the rest of her life in an asylum. This is by no means the first time a child has died at the hands of parents trying to please “God.”

Christians are taught that their Bible is the revealed word of God. As such, Christians also believe that the Bible is absolute and infallible. But the Bible is chocked full of gross inaccuracies and contradictions. If God were real (and omniscient / omnipotent) then why would He have told His authors all these wildly inaccurate stories? Why would He lie to the people He depended upon to tell His story? The obvious explanation is: God didn’t do it. Continue reading
